I learned to paint by drawing everyone and copying the old masters from books I got from the library and also studying anatomy in order to paint portraits and the human form. I have no formal art education, just learned along the way, from many sources.
  My hope is to further the continuity of the appreciation of the work of the old masters as well as to support art in general so our society can be healthy in its appreciation of beauty and culture and not degenerate into materialism.
  I am presently painting murals and candid  as well as formal portraits.

  Barbara is an accomplished artist.  She has in her repertoire many forms and mediums to include: surrealistic, alchemical and geographic pieces.  Her preferred mediums include: oils, acrylics and pastels.  Many of her paintings include philosophic and religious subjects.  She has an avid interest in philosophy, religion and the psychology of art and artists.
